Blue Springs Construction · Progress Review

Where we started, where we are,
and how we get you more work.

The first phase built the foundation that lets Northern Colorado find and trust you online. Here's what's already changed — and the plan that turns visibility into phone calls and quote requests.

What this is all for

The goal isn't rankings. It's more people asking you to build.

Every number in this review is a means to one end: a steady stream of Northern Colorado homeowners and businesses calling Blue Springs to build, remodel, or finish a space. Search visibility is how we get there — here's the path each piece of work is moving you along.

Honest picture: the foundation only just went in — and you can't get calls from searches you don't yet appear in. So the leads engine is early (the first couple of form leads have come in). What's already moving is the visibility that feeds it: search impressions have climbed from near-zero at launch to ~942 a month. Months 2–6 are where that visibility converts into calls.

Where we were → where we are

One month in, the before-and-after is real.

These are the foundations that decide whether Google and AI search will show you at all. Each was a gap a month ago. Each is now fixed or climbing.

How we did it

Month 1 was about getting the house in order.

You can't win searches Google can't crawl, trust, or understand. We closed the gaps that were holding everything back — in plain terms:

Fixed the technical blockers

Cleared two critical issues (a missing page headline and a slow-loading homepage), plus the page titles, descriptions, security and image fixes Google reads first. Site health went from 83 to a perfect 100.

Told Google + AI exactly who you are

Added the hidden "business card" search engines and AI assistants read — your services, your Northern Colorado service area (Bellvue, Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Greeley), and links to your verified profiles. This is what makes you eligible to appear in the local map and get cited by AI search.

Woke up your Google Business Profile

Replied to all 6 five-star reviews, rebuilt your categories (now 6 builder/remodel categories), added your 10 services and a full description, and started a weekly posting rhythm — the profile had been silent for over a year. It's now 92% complete, and this is the single biggest driver of the local map pack.

Cleaned up the site's structure

Pointed old, duplicate page addresses to the right pages and removed a leftover test page, so your search credit lands where it should instead of being split.

Being straight with you: three smaller polish items are still in progress — a final page-speed pass (handled carefully so nothing on the site breaks), expanding a couple of thin pages, and minor image tagging. None are blockers; all are in the Month 2–3 plan below.

The searches that bring you work

We know exactly what your customers type — and who's winning it now.

This is where the dashboard data earns its keep. We mapped the searches that lead to building, remodeling, and finishing jobs in your area, checked who currently ranks for each, and matched every one to the page we're building or upgrading to take it. None of these are out of reach — most are won by competitors with weak, page-4 content.

✓ = a channel we'll use to win that search. Ad $/click = real Google Ads cost-per-click (DataForSEO) — what you'd pay per visit if you bought that traffic. *observed = monthly searches Google Search Console already recorded for your site · local = Google Ads local monthly searches (Fort Collins) · †national = broad informational term we target with a guide for reach + AI-search citations. Google Ads reports no reliable cost for these hyper-local terms — they're too niche to advertise on, which is exactly why SEO + your Google profile are the only efficient way to win them.

Why this matters: the Fort Collins builder searches cost $12–27 per click in Google Ads. Every time you rank #1 organically, that's a potential customer you reach without paying per click — and it compounds for free. The hyper-local Windsor searches are too niche for ads at all, so ranking organically is the only way to capture them.

The headline: one competitor (NoCo Custom Homes) owns the custom-home searches today, and the basement and Windsor searches are genuinely winnable — your competitors there rank with thin content, and on the Windsor terms you already show up. In fact on "general contractor Windsor" you're already around #11 on the map — inside the local top 10 across a third of the area, just not yet in the top 3. Months 2–6 are about closing that last gap.

Want results faster?

Climbing these searches organically takes months — and it compounds for free once you're there. But the highest-intent terms ("general contractor Windsor CO," "kitchen remodel Windsor") can put you at the very top of Google from day one with a paid-search assist, while your organic rankings build underneath. Ask the Telos team how paid search and SEO work together.

Your local presence

The map, your Google profile, and getting listed everywhere.

For a builder, the Google map and your Business Profile are where most local customers decide who to call. Here's where you stand today and the moves that climb the map — all of it tracked live on your dashboard's Local and Citations tabs.

On the Windsor map today

For "general contractor Windsor" you already rank around #11 across the area grid — inside the local top 10 on 27 of 81 map points, just behind the businesses holding the pack. On the broader construction terms you appear across most of the grid but sit deeper, and you're not on the map yet for "home builder" searches. You're in the race on the map, not off it — this is a finishing push, not a standing start.

Your Google Business Profile — the climb
  • All 6 reviews now answered
  • Weekly posts now running
  • Builder categories added (6) + 10 services + full description → profile now 92% complete
  • Grow reviews — you have 6; the builders holding the Windsor top 3 carry 24–67. This is the #1 lever to turn your #11 map position into the top 3.
  • Add real project photos (still 0 — the one piece keeping your profile from 100%)
Get listed everywhere — citations

Google and AI assistants trust a business that's listed consistently across the web. Your citation coverage is 38 / 100 today — here's how we lift it:

  • Claim Bing Places + Apple Business Connect (both missing — they feed Bing, Siri and AI assistants)
  • Correct the listings pointing to Blue Springs, Missouri — wrong-state entries that confuse Google about where you actually are
  • Add the trusted local directories (BBB, Houzz, Angi) with an identical name, address and phone everywhere

Track coverage on your Citations tab.

The content that wins those searches

What we'll build — and where you come in.

Each target search needs the right page. Here's what we're building, the exact search it targets, and the one thing from you that makes it win.

Custom Homes page — rebuilt

Targets "custom home builders Fort Collins" and "northern colorado home builders" — the searches NoCo Custom Homes owns today. We add the Fort Collins / Loveland / Greeley / Windsor service areas and your build process.

From you: 4–6 real photos of finished custom homes.

Basement cost guide — new

Targets "cost to finish a basement" and "basement flooring options" — high-demand questions your competitors answer poorly. A real Northern-Colorado price guide also earns AI-search citations.

From you: rough price ranges for a basement finish.

Windsor General Contractor page — new

Targets "general contractor Windsor CO" and "construction companies Windsor" — searches you already appear for (page 3) but have no dedicated page for. This is the fastest local win.

From you: a sentence or two on your Windsor work.

Kitchen Remodeling page — new

Targets "kitchen remodel Windsor" — wide open, nobody owns it locally, and one of the easiest terms in your market to rank for. A clean new service page claims it.

From you: photos of a kitchen project, if you have any.

Every one of these is tracked on your dashboard — you'll watch each page get built, indexed, and start climbing on your Keyword Rankings and Activity tabs.

The full SEO blueprint

Your content map — built for topical authority.

Google rewards businesses that cover a subject thoroughly, not those with one thin page per service. So we build in clusters: a strong "pillar" page for each core service, with supporting pages and guides beneath it that all link to and reinforce each other. That's how you become the obvious authority for building and remodeling in Northern Colorado. Here's the full map we build toward over Months 2–6.

Underneath it all sits a blog / guide layer — the cost guides and how-to answers above — that earns links, answers the questions Google's AI Overviews pull from, and feeds authority back up to every pillar. Each page is prioritised on the plan; we build the highest-impact ones first and track them on your Keyword Rankings tab.

One thing the map already revealed: just as important as the pages themselves is how they link to each other. Today your service pages connect only through the top menu — in their content they're islands (we found just 4 of 17 key links in place). Wiring those in-content links — each pillar down to its supporting pages and back up — is a Months 2–3 move that's free, on-site, and compounding: it's how Google understands which pages reinforce each other, so the whole site ranks stronger than any single page could alone. You'll see the count climb on your Topical Map tab.

The road ahead

A compounding plan — not a one-and-done.

SEO and local search build on themselves: every page, review, and link makes the next one work harder. Here's the arc — and why the gains keep growing the longer we run it.

Where you come in

Three things from you multiply everything we do.

The work above is ours to run. These few things are yours — and each one meaningfully accelerates the results.

1

Ask happy customers for a Google review

You're at 6 five-star reviews; the builders holding the Windsor top 3 carry 24–67. Now that you already rank around #11 on the map, growing your reviews is the single biggest lever to reach the top 3. We'll give you a one-tap link and a short script — you just send it after a finished job.

2

Send us real project photos

Right now the site and posts lean on stock images. A handful of real photos from your builds and remodels would strengthen every page and every Google post — it's the one thing that makes them genuinely yours.

3

Two local memberships

Joining the Northern Colorado Home Builders Association and a local chamber gives you the exact trusted local links your top competitors have and you don't — a direct boost to both rankings and credibility.

The foundation is in. Now we turn visibility into a phone that keeps ringing.

Month 1 made you findable and trustworthy to Google and AI search. Months 2 through 6 build the pages, reviews, and local authority that put you in front of every Northern Colorado homeowner and business searching for what you do — and keep compounding from there.
